Research Analyst

Job Title: Research Analyst (Non-BFSI Sector Coverage Only)

Location: Mumbai, India

Reports To: Portfolio Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Research Analyst to join our Investments Team. The ideal candidate will generate actionable investment ideas, perform deep fundamental research, track sectoral developments, and contribute to portfolio construction across PMS and Mutual Fund products.

Important: Candidates must not be covering the BFSI sector; coverage from any other sector is acceptable.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed fundamental analysis of listed companies across sectors
• Build and maintain financial models including sensitivity & scenario analysis
• Track sector dynamics, regulatory changes & macroeconomic indicators
• Prepare investment notes , quarterly updates, thematic reports
• Assist with portfolio monitoring, rebalancing inputs & risk analysis
• Interact with company management, sell-side analysts, and industry experts
• Contribute to internal investment discussions & idea-generation forums
• Prepare market commentaries, newsletters , and related research content

Preferred Qualifications

• 25 years of equity research experience (buy-side or sell-side)
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuations & investment frameworks
• Proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and research tools (Factset, MSCI Barra, CapitalIQ)
• CFA / MBA / CA preferred (Level 2+ or completed is an advantage)
• Excellent communication, presentation skills, intellectual curiosity & attention to detail
