About the Role:

We are looking for highly motivated candidates who have experience preferably in Property and/or Casualty Risk Engineering or in overall insurance / reinsurance domain and is willing to take up a position for delivering timely and accurate administrative and business support to Risk Engineers located across the regions for supporting them in all non-core risk engineering activities within Swiss Re Corporate Solution (CorSo) Risk Engineering Services (RES).

You would have to work very closely with the stakeholders, understand their needs, and provide support as required to improve process efficiency, timeliness, profitability, and accuracy of the RES process. You are expected to be a good team player and with strong dedication and eagerness to learn new analytics tools / platforms and have strong collaborative and communication skills.

You would be part of a team of risk engineering assistants whose tasks will include but may not be limited to the following:

• Support Account Engineers within RES located across regions in different time zones and covering various Lines of Businesses on all non-core Risk Engineering tasks which can be administrative, technical, and analytical in a time bound manner and to continually improve the data quality. The key focus would include setting up account ensuring correct geo codes, sum insured, Property Industry Classification selection, first-pass information on Natural Hazard perils for location assessments.
• Assist the Risk Engineers in pre and post risk surveys by preparing site visit dockets containing previous reports (if any), recommendation updates, loss lesson handouts, market presentation and then post completion of survey in proof reading, formatting the market report.
• Assist the Digital team with pre-screening of all market reports for data gathering and data cleaning / formatting for automated account screening.
• Support the Analytics team for improving quality of risk engineering data and perform basic analytics reporting tasks including visualisation of data.
• Assist the RES Loss Analysis Coordinator for coordinating, understanding, and creating new loss analysis tasks for losses that can be either in Corso books or can occur in the market but are not insured by Swiss Re
• Support in coordination, tracking for status and completion, facilitating in solving bottlenecks, and reporting of RES projects carried out by engineers across all locations.
• Build and maintain good relationships with your Stakeholders and Business Partners. Continuously seek feedback for self to improve processes and for your growth.
• Provide administrative and business support for various Swiss Re & Corso administrative tools.
• Maintain the standard methodology on record management and processes.

About You:

Professional background:

• A graduation degree in a technical/science field.
• Min 2-3 years hands-on experience, preferably in risk engineering / insurance relevant areas. Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for higher band.
• Sound risk engineering /Insurance knowledge and business processes.
• Experience in basic data reporting / analytics.
• English language proficiency, strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective stakeholder management and partnering.

• Proficient MS office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and dashboarding capabilities in Excel or Power BI.
• Experienced knowledge and overview of business applications and tools.Creative with problem solving skills, can identify opportunities to bring new process improvements specially in business reporting aspects.
