Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and customer-centric Virtual Relationship Manager (VRM) to manage and grow client relationships through digital and virtual channels . The role focuses on understanding client financial goals, recommending suitable mutual fund and online investment solutions , and driving revenue through upselling and cross selling all without physical meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of existing and prospective clients/associates via calls, emails, WhatsApp, and video meetings
- Understand client investment objectives, risk appetite, and financial goals
- Recommend appropriate mutual fund products including SIPs, lump-sum investments, switches, and redemptions
- Drive upselling and cross-selling of mutual funds and related offerings (ELSS, retirement solutions, goal-based investing)
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews , follow-ups, and market updates
- Achieve assigned sales, revenue, and client activation targets
- Educate clients on NFOs, market trends, and investment strategies
- Ensure strict compliance with SEBI regulations, KYC norms, and internal policies
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, transactions, and client data on CRM systems
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, or related field
- MBA / PGDM (Finance) preferred
- NISM Series V-A (Mutual Fund Distributor) Mandatory
Experience
- 13 years of experience in: Mutual Fund Sales, Financial Advisory, Relationship Management (Virtual or On-field)
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of: Mutual fund products, SIPs & lump-sum investments, ELSS & tax-saving instruments, Investor profiling
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build strong virtual client relationships
- Target driven and self-motivated mindset
- Strong follow-up, objection-handling, and closing skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital investment platforms
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Fintech platforms, Wealth Advisory firms, or AMC distribution partners
- Exposure to digital investment platforms, robo-advisory tools, or video-based client engagement
