Job Description
- Oversee and manage all legal aspects of Loan Against Property (LAP) business across assigned regions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to LAP.
- Provide legal advice and support to LAP business units, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Review and negotiate LAP-related contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the interests of the company.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business teams and legal departments, to align legal strategies with business objectives.
- Stay updated on legal trends and changes impacting LAP, and advise the business on potential impacts and required actions.
- Manage and supervise a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality legal services.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support business decisions and identify potential legal risks and opportunities.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and meetings with external parties, including government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel and industry experts to leverage their expertise and network.
