Job Description

Role Purpose


The Regional Retail HR Business Partner will partner with business leaders to drive the people agenda across retail operations in Bangalore. The role will focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and HR compliance to support business growth and store-level excellence.


Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnering

  • Act as the HR partner for regional business and store leadership teams.
  • Align HR initiatives with retail business objectives and expansion plans in Bangalore.
  • Provide people insights to support operational and strategic decisions.

Talent Acquisition & Manpower Planning

  • Drive end-to-end hiring for retail stores (Store Managers, Assistant Managers, Frontline Staff).
  • Ensure timely manpower planning and optimal staffing across stores.
  • Work with recruitment teams to improve hiring quality and reduce attrition.

Employee Engagement & Relations

  • Drive engagement initiatives to improve morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and ER cases.
  • Maintain positive industrial relations across retail locations.

Performance Management & Capability Building

  • Implement performance management processes and support managers in goal setting and reviews.
  • Coach store leaders on performance improvement and people management.
  • Identify training needs and partner with L&D teams.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure smooth HR operations including onboarding, confirmations, transfers, and exits.
  • Ensure compliance with Karnataka labor laws and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct HR audits and ensure adherence to company policies.

Culture & Change Management

  • Drive company culture and values across Bangalore retail operations.
  • Support change initiatives such as new store openings, restructuring, and policy rollouts.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience in Retail HRBP
  • Knowledge of Karnataka labor laws
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Hands-on, field-oriented approach
  • Strong communication skills

Education & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in retail HR
  • Experience managing multi-store retail operations in Bangalore is mandatory
