Job Description

The Regional Head South India will lead and scale the firms business across the South region (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala). This is a leadership role accountable for P&L, revenue growth, client acquisition/expansion, delivery excellence, and team leadership across multiple hiring lines (Perm, Contract, Executive Search/RPOdepending on business model). The incumbent will build strong CXO relationships, deepen enterprise accounts, improve fulfillment productivity, and strengthen the firms brand presence in the region.


Key Responsibilities

1) Regional Business & P&L Ownership

  • Own regional P&L , revenue targets, gross margin, and operating profitability.
  • Build and execute the South India GTM strategy aligned to national priorities.
  • Develop annual operating plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and pipeline governance.
  • Drive disciplined business reviews: sales funnel, conversion, pricing, and margin levers.

2) Client Acquisition & Account Growth

  • Acquire and grow enterprise clients across IT/ITeS, GCCs, product tech, BFSI, manufacturing, healthcare, retail/e-commerce (as relevant).
  • Build senior stakeholder relationships (CXO/CHRO/TA Heads) and position the firm as a strategic partner.
  • Lead large deal pursuits: MSAs, rate cards, SOWs, RFPs , and service renewals.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities across service lines (perm/contract/RPO/search).

3) Delivery Leadership & Service Excellence

  • Ensure high-quality delivery: TAT adherence, offer-to-join improvement, candidate experience, compliance (for staffing/RPO).
  • Establish robust governance with clients: weekly/monthly reviews, escalation handling, SLA management.
  • Drive productivity through process optimization, sourcing strategy, and adoption of recruitment tech/ATS.

4) Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead a multi-layered team: business development, account managers, recruitment delivery leaders, and recruiters.
  • Hire, mentor, and retain top talent; set a high-performance culture with clear KPIs.
  • Build leadership bench for future growth (delivery managers, practice leads).

5) Market Intelligence & Brand Presence

  • Track regional talent trends, compensation benchmarks, competitor movements, and sector demand.
  • Strengthen market presence through industry forums, client events, partnerships, and campus/skill initiatives (if applicable).
  • Drive compliance with internal policies, ethics, and data/privacy standards.

KPIs / Success Measures (Indicative)

  • Regional revenue growth and profitability (GM/EBIT contribution)
  • New client acquisition and enterprise account expansion
  • Delivery KPIs: SLA/TAT, fulfillment %, offer-to-join %, client NPS
  • Team productivity (requirements closed per recruiter, cost-to-deliver)
  • Attrition control and leadership bench strength


Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 1218+ years in recruitment/staffing/HR services, with 5+ years in a regional leadership / P&L / business head role .
  • Strong exposure to Bengaluru + South India enterprise market and proven network with senior HR/TA stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling teams and managing large delivery engines .
  • Experience in an MNC or large organized staffing/recruitment firm preferred.
