Job Description
Credit Underwriting & Risk Assessment
- Evaluate and approve credit proposals for Agri Finance products
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk frameworks.
- Conduct financial and non-financial analysis of borrowers including farm economics, cash flows, and collateral evaluation.
Portfolio Management
- Monitor portfolio performance, delinquencies, and early warning signals.
- Collaborate with collections and business teams to maintain asset quality.
- Conduct periodic reviews and stress testing of regional portfolio.
Policy Implementation & Process Improvement
- Implement and communicate credit policies and product guidelines across the region.
- Recommend changes to credit processes based on field feedback and risk trends.
- Drive digitization and automation initiatives in credit underwriting.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with business teams to support growth while maintaining credit discipline.
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operations for seamless credit processing.
- Train and mentor LCM/ACM on credit norms and risk practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA/PGDM in Finance, Agriculture, or related field.
- 15-20 years of experience in credit underwriting, preferably in Agri or Rural Finance.
- Strong understanding of agricultural cycles, commodities, and rural credit behaviour.
Skills & Competencies:
- Analytical thinking and financial acumen.
- Knowledge of agri lending products and rural markets.
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
