The Role

Were hiring a React Native Engineer to own our iOS + Android app. Youll get inside the codebase quickly, steady the essentials, and then push the product forward with thoughtful UX, reliable performance, and calm, predictable releases. Youll partner closely with Design, Backend, and our AI team to turn ideas into dependable, human experiences.

You will

• Stabilize & ship: understand current architecture and state/navigation patterns; reduce crashes; improve error states; set clean release hygiene (versioning, changelogs, OTA updates).
• Build forward: lead app architecture and state management; deliver accessible, polished UI with purposeful interactions; ensure fast startup and smooth rendering.
• Device & offline: implement offline-friendly behavior (caching, sensible retries, background sync); own deep links, push notifications, secure storage, permissions, theming/dark mode, and basic localization readiness.
• APIs & AI: integrate backend APIs with resilient error handling and clear contracts; support streaming/real-time experiences with graceful fallbacks.
• Quality & release ops: maintain a healthy test suite (unit/component/E2E for critical journeys); profile and optimize performance; manage store submissions (App Store/Play), over-the-air updates, crash/analytics, and feature flags.
• Stewardship: keep small diffs, crisp PRs, and living docs (setup, architecture notes, how to ship playbooks); collaborate across Product/Design/Backend/AI; help interview and mentor the next mobile hire.

What were looking for

• Experience: 58+ years in mobile/front-end, including 3+ years with React Native + TypeScript on production apps.
• Shipped apps: launched and supported at least one React Native app on both iOS and Android (release cadence, hotfixes, telemetry).
• Depth in essentials: navigation and state patterns, accessibility, testing discipline, and performance tuning.
• API integration: confident working with REST endpoints, modeling data, designing robust error states, and supporting offline behavior.
• Operational maturity: comfort with CI/CD for mobile, app store processes, OTA mechanisms, and crash/analytics platforms.
• Mindset: ownership, clarity, kindness; you ship small and often and make the team calmer.

Nice to have

• Experience running staged rollouts and safe rollbacks for releases/OTA.
• Built offline workflows beyond simple caching (sync + conflict handling).
• Defined or contributed to a small component/design system used across features.

Compensation & Work Model (India)

• Competitive for the India market. Additional equity or performance-based rewards may be considered based on impact and long-term fit.
• Work model: Remote to start, with required periodic in-person days in Ahmedabad; role is expected to transition to hybrid/in-office in Ahmedabad as the team scales.
