Role Description

We are seeking an R&D Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Scientific Writing or Research Engineering, specializing in Mechanical, Computer, or AI Engineering. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Pune. We are looking for experienced and research-oriented R&D Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to contribute to multidisciplinary research and engineering projects. The role involves providing deep domain expertise, supporting research formulation, validation, and technical documentation, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality, scientifically sound outcomes.

This position is ideal for professionals, researchers, PhD scholars, and domain experts who wish to work on flexible, project-driven assignments while engaging in impactful R&D activities across academic and industrial domains.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Research and Development (R&D) and a proven ability to innovate and contribute to cutting-edge projects.
• Excellent Analytical Skills and the ability to assess data effectively to guide research outcomes.
• Proven Communication and Scientific Writing skills to effectively document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on Research and Laboratory Skills, particularly in Mechanical, Computer, or AI Engineering projects.
• Advanced degree (B.E., B.tech, Master's or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to independently manage research projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
• Previous experience in academia, industry R&D, or technical publications is considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong research-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in scientific inquiry and problem-solving.
• Provide technical expertise and subject-level guidance on assigned R&D and research projects
• Support in the formulation of problem statements, research gaps, objectives, and methodologies
• Assist in modelling, simulation, validation, and analysis of results based on the project scope
• Prepare scientifically validated results with clear and accurate domain-specific explanations

Capability to critically analyze and interpret research data , graphs, modelling results, simulations, and technical content.

• Contribute to technical writing, report drafting, academic documentation, and manuscript review
• Prepare technical notes, research summaries, literature insights, and analytical reports
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality, precise, and timely deliverables

Ability to work independently , manage multiple research tasks, and meet deadlines in a structured research environment

• Mentor researchers/students and support knowledge-based tasks whenever required.
