Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Radiology Medical Coder located in Hyderabad. The Radiology Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing and analysing patient records, assigning appropriate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services provided in radiology. Additional tasks include maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring accurate billing, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation or coding-related queries. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of coding guidelines, and a commitment to maintaining data confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of medical coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
• Understanding of radiology procedures, medical terminology, and coding guidelines
• Proficient in examining and abstracting patient records for accurate coding
• Experience in computer systems for medical coding and electronic health records (EHR)
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills
• Ability to stay updated with healthcare regulations, coding changes, and industry standards
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) is preferred
• Bachelors degree in healthcare, life sciences, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience
