Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in RF hardware, subsystem, and system-level design, including RADAR applications. This role involves end-to-end RF design ownershipfrom architecture and simulation to validation, integration, and qualificationalong with mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform frequency planning, power budget analysis, and ensure compliance with system specifications
• Design, review, and document RF module and subsystem architectures
• Lead RF design activities covering transmit, receive, and signal conditioning chains
• Create and maintain design documentation, review artifacts, test procedures, ATP/QTP, and qualification reports
• Collaborate closely with Digital Hardware, FPGA/RTL, Software, and Mechanical teams
• Guide PCB layout and routing teams on RF best practices
• Participate in system integration, testing, and qualification
• Support lab bring-up, debugging, and validation activities

Technical Skills & Expertise

RF Design & Hardware

• Strong understanding of RF hardware and system design
• Expertise in RF components: PLL, LNA, Mixer, PA, Filters, Couplers, Switches
• Experience with Power Management components: LDOs, Buck Converters
• Hands-on design of:
• TR Modules
• CW & Pulsed Power Amplifiers
• Synthesizers
• Up/Down Converters
• Lumped and Distributed Element Filters

Tools & Simulation

• Schematic design using OrCAD Capture
• RF simulation tools: ADS, AWR, HFSS
• Experience guiding RF PCB layout and routing

Measurement & Validation

• Strong knowledge of RF measurements:
• Harmonics, IP3, Noise Figure, Gain, P1dB, VSWR
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment:
• Oscilloscope
• Spectrum Analyzer
• Vector Network Analyzer (VNA)
• Power Meter
• Signal Generator

Domain Knowledge

• Experience in RADAR subsystem and system design
• Understanding of RF compliance and performance validation

Mandatory Requirements

• Proven experience in TR Module Design
• Hands-on expertise in PA, Synthesizer, Converter, and Filter design
• Experience leading or mentoring a team of 2+ engineers (Design / Senior Design Engineers)
