Job Description

Role Overview

The Lead Quality will be responsible for overseeing food safety and quality assurance processes across production and supply chain operations at Pluckk. This role involves leading quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards, mentoring quality teams, and driving continuous improvement across operations. The position plays a critical role in maintaining Pluckks commitment to freshness, safety, and excellence as the brand scales. Strong leadership, deep food safety knowledge, and a proactive approach to quality management are essential for success in this role.


This role is based out of Bidarahalli Hobli, Bengaluru.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quality assurance processes across production, packaging, and handling to ensure adherence to food safety standards and internal SOPs.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train quality executives and frontline QA staff on food safety protocols and quality best practices.
  • Prepare for and lead internal and external audits including HACCP, FSSAI, ISO, and other regulatory or certification audits.
  • Approve raw material quality and oversee sensory, physical, and quality inspections of finished products.
  • Drive resolution of quality issues and customer complaints through root cause analysis and implementation of CAPA.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all QA activities including reports, logs, checklists, and compliance records.
  • Prepare and present periodic quality dashboards and reports to management.
  • Identify and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen food safety systems.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure end-to-end quality control across the supply chain.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Food Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food quality assurance or quality control roles, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety systems such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000.
  • Proven experience in audit handling, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
