Lead Quality Manager Grade

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Quality Head to lead the quality function for our agrochemical manufacturing and export operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across both B2B domestic and international (exports) businesses, with a strong understanding of quality norms applicable in USA, Europe, and other regulated markets.


Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management & Strategy

Define and implement the organizations Quality Management System (QMS) in line with global regulatory and customer requirements.

Lead development and execution of quality strategy aligning with business objectives (both B2B and export markets).

Ensure adherence to ISO, cGMP, and other international quality standards.


2. Regulatory Compliance

Ensure products comply with international regulatory requirements such as EPA (USA), REACH (Europe), FAO/WHO, etc.

Oversee preparation of technical dossiers, audits, and registrations for international markets.

Coordinate with global regulatory bodies and third-party auditors.


3. Quality Assurance (QA)

Implement robust QA systems to monitor, control, and improve process and product quality.

Manage quality documentation, batch review, deviation handling, CAPA, and change control systems.


4. Quality Control (QC)

Lead the QC lab operations including analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

Ensure calibration, validation, and upkeep of analytical instruments.

Drive method development and validation for new molecules and formulations.


5. Supplier & Contract Manufacturer Quality

Audit and approve vendors, toll manufacturers, and suppliers for compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications and manage quality agreements.


6. Customer Interface & Complaint Handling

Act as the quality point of contact for domestic and international B2B customers.

Address customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.


7. Team Leadership

Lead and mentor the QA/QC teams across multiple locations/plants.

Build a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.


Educational Qualification:

M.Sc./Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Additional certifications in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor) preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 10-15 years in Quality roles within the agrochemical or chemical manufacturing industry.


Skills:

Strong knowledge of international regulatory standards (EPA, REACH, etc.)

Familiarity with export documentation and compliance for regulated markets

Hands-on experience with formulation, technical-grade agrochemical products
