Quality Inspector – Third Party / Source Inspector / Field Quality Inspector / Vendor Inspection Engineer

Junior Source Inspector with machining / fabrication inspection experience

Role Purpose

To perform third-party inspections at supplier and warehouse locations, ensuring products meet drawing, specification, and purchase order requirements before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, visual, and basic functional inspections at supplier sites

• Verify parts against engineering drawings, inspection plans, and PO requirements

• Conduct routine inspections for machined, fabricated, cast, or welded components

• Review basic quality documents (inspection reports, material test certificates, COC)

• Record inspection results and submit clear inspection reports

• Highlight non-conformances and support NCR documentation

• Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers during inspection visits

• Travel extensively to supplier locations across regions

Required Experience & Skills

• 36 years in quality inspection / manufacturing / vendor inspection

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and basic GD&T

• Experience with hand measurement tools (vernier, micrometer, gauges)

• Exposure to machining, fabrication, casting, or assembly environments

• Basic understanding of quality documentation

• Willingness to travel extensively

Nice to Have

• Basic NDT exposure (VT / PT / UT Level I or awareness)

• Oil & gas, heavy engineering, or automotive background
