| Key Responsibilities : |
| 1. Responsible to conduct inspections, tests, assessments as per Elgi quality assurance guidelines for inward parts, components, inprocess output in different stages of production and final product |

| 1. Responsible to conduct inspections, tests, assessments as per Elgi quality assurance guidelines for inward parts, components, inprocess output in different stages of production and final product |
| Inward Quality |
| Collect samples from incoming material after GRN is raised by Stores as per defined sampling plan |
| Conduct all requisite inspections, tests on materials as defined in the quality plan and guidelines on Inward components / parts |
| Coordinate with Metallurgy or relevant functions for chemical testing, and others, as necessary |
| Inprocess Quality |
| Conduct various inprocess inspections including setting, first piece, random and patrol inspection to ensure right parameters have been used for manufacturing as per SOPs |
| Verify adherence to quality parameters through defined testing processes (for example, leak test) |
| Conduct inspections on special process activities including heat treatment, washing, coating, painting, as per SOPs and guidelines |
| Carryout 100 % sampling in areas where specified, as necessary |
| Pre-dispatch Quality |
| Conduct defined set of inspections, tests and audits on final product to ensure end quality (for example, visual and dimensional inspection, leak test, pressure test, product audit, dock audit, built-up card vs. product test and pre-dispatch inspection) |
| Verify documentation (for example, built up card) to ensure necessary tests have been conducted for quality assurance |
| Track and monitor all tests results to approve end product for packaging |
| 2. Provide quality observations, tests results and assist in reducing rejections and rework |
| Report anomalies / deviations / non conformances in quality standardsfound during quality checks, inspections, tests to respective stakeholders including Production, Purchase, Supplier Development, other Quality sub-functions, as appropriate |
| Take containment actions such as segregation to minimize spread of quality issues |
| Assist in preparing First Investigation Report (FIR), documenting nature of issue, details of occurrence and resolution undertaken |
| Assist in conducting and documenting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) to resolve issues and prevent recurrence |
| Track status of related CAPAs raised and provide inputs on effectiveness of CAPA in practical work situation |
| Escalate unresolved issues and in cases where technical support is required |
| 3. Prepare reports and document activities as per SOPs and guidelines in defined formats |
| Prepare quality shift end report after each shift and other reporting (for example, Run Charts, Gantt Charts) |
| Document all steps of quality testing undertaken and their results |
