What Youll Be Doing (position summary):
The Quality Engineering Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of quality engineering and software testing for assigned projects or initiatives. This role ensures rigorous adherence to QA/QE standards, manages testing teams, and drives the implementation of automation and innovative solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The Quality Engineering Coordinator adds value by providing technical leadership, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.

How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):
Testing Coordination & Execution:
- Develop, publish, and execute test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, automation scripts, virtualization, status reports, defect and exit reports.
- Identify and obtain required test data and test environments.
- Develop, publish, and execute testing estimates and manage financials related to testing activities.
- Track and report QA/QE metrics and KPIs such as velocity and defect slippage.
Defect & Compliance Management:
- Manage defects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Identify, manage, and implement remediation for any noncompliance items and deviations.
- Ensure adherence to QA/QE standards and support the implementation of new standards.
- Recognize and identify areas for process, policy, or tool improvement.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide input, feedback, and challenge to technical designs and assess impacts to testing.
- Identify and implement automation, AI, or other emerging solutions to expedite testing and improve quality.
- Lead the adoption of automation frameworks and tools.
People Management:
- Work and coordinate with a team of test analysts, including quality, and compliance related to assigned projects/initiatives.
Experience: 3-6 years of experience
Who You Are (skills/qualifications):
Must Have Skills:
- 36 years of experience in QA/QE, 13 years of experience in development.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Retail banking, mobile testing, web-based testing, UX testing, API testing, accessibility.
- Automation frameworks, tools, and libraries (Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, Junit, etc.).
- Programming languages commonly used for automation (Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Version control systems (e.g., GIT).
- Writing and executing automation test cases, custom functions, and building object repositories.
- Web technologies (HTML, CSS, web services).
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries.
- API testing, virtualization.
- GitHub CoPilot or other Gen AI-based tools.
- Git.
- Jira, Confluence, and/or other Agile, development, and QA tools.
- ParaSoft, Rest API, and/or other API testing and virtualization tools.
- Perfecto and/or other mobile and browser testing tools.
