Project Role : Quality Engineer (Tester)
Project Role Description : Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

Roles & Responsibilities 1. Test Planning and Design: o Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software quality and functionality align with user requirements and company standards. o Participate in design reviews and provide input on software features and performance expectations. 2. Test Execution: o Execute manual tests, analyze results, identify defects, and document issues in a defect tracking system. o Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that automated tests might miss. 3. Collaboration: o Work closely with software developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand product design and requirements. o Participate in meetings and discussions to ensure alignment on testing strategies and goals. 4. Defect Management: o Track and manage software defects, ensuring they are properly documented and communicated to the development team. o Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issues are resolved. 5. Mentorship and Leadership: o Mentor junior test engineers, providing guidance on testing best practices, techniques, and tools. o Lead integration testing efforts, ensuring that different modules of the software work together seamlessly. 6. Continuous Improvement: o Evaluate new testing technologies and tools for potential adoption to improve testing processes and outcomes. o Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, scripts, and tools to increase efficiency and coverage of testing. 7. Quality Assurance: o Perform security vulnerability testing and compliance checks to ensure the software meets industry standards and protects user data. o Collaborate on quality assurance within a team to ensure the highest standards of reliability, functionality, and user experience. These responsibilities ensure that the Manual Senior Test Engineer contributes significantly to the development lifecycle, focusing on the planning, execution, and analysis of various testing methodologies to deliver superior technology solutions to customers. Technical Skills 1. Test Case Design and Execution: o Ability to create detailed and effective test cases and execute them efficiently. o Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies. 2. Defect Tracking and Management: o Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA. o Strong skills in identifying, documenting, and managing defects. 3. Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): o Deep understanding of SDLC and various testing phases. o Knowledge of different testing types such as functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. 4. Programming and Scripting: o Basic knowledge of programming languages like Python or Java/Spring Boot can be beneficial. o Familiarity with SQL/JDBC/MSSQL for database testing. 5. Tools and Technologies: o Proficiency in using testing tools like Jira, Selenium/Appium/TestNG automation frameworks, Postman/Jmeter, Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE and Azure/TFS. o Understanding of version control systems like Git or CI-CD pipeline Soft Skills 1. Analytical Thinking: o Strong analytical skills to identify potential issues and understand complex software systems. o Attention to detail to ensure thorough testing. 2. Communication: o Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. o Ability to clearly document test plans, test cases, and defects. 3.
