Role overview

Test web and mobile applications for functionality, usability, and performance across different scenarios.
Collaborate with development and design teams to identify, document, and follow up on bugs and usability issues.
Contribute to a robust testing process through well-structured manual test cases and basic automation.

Key responsibilities

Plan, create, and execute manual test cases for new features and regression cycles.
Create and maintain basic automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
Log and track defects using bug-tracking tools and re-test fixes during release cycles.
Participate in requirement discussions, providing test effort estimates and edge-case scenarios.
Validate APIs and database changes using Postman / Swagger and basic SQL queries.
Evaluate the product from an end-user perspective and share feedback to improve UX and overall quality.

Skills and qualifications

Strong foundation in software testing concepts, SDLC/STLC, and test types (functional, regression, smoke, etc.).
0.52 years of experience (excluding internships) in manual testing of web or mobile applications.
Hands-on exposure to automation tools such as Katalon, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
Basic knowledge of SQL and REST API testing using Postman / Swagger.
Ability to write clear test cases and defect reports; strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Good written and verbal communication skills and a user-centric mindset.
