Job Description

Job Title: Manager / Lead Quality (TV & Vendor Management)

Function: Quality Assurance & Compliance

Location: Ahmedabad

Role Purpose

To lead and manage all Quality Assurance activities related to TV certification, third-party inspections, and vendor quality management, ensuring compliance with international standards, project specifications, and contractual requirements across Solar, Wind, and BESS projects.

Key Responsibilities

TV & Third-Party Certification

• Act as the single point of contact for TV and other inspection agencies.
• Plan, coordinate, and close TV inspections, audits, type tests, FAT, SAT, and site inspections.
• Ensure timely submission, approval, and closure of ITPs, QAPs, test reports, NCRs, and compliance documents.
• Manage certification requirements as per IEC, ISO, UL, BIS, and project-specific standards.

Vendor Quality Management

• Develop and implement Vendor Quality Management Plans (VQMP).
• Conduct vendor qualification, audits, and capability assessments.
• Monitor vendor manufacturing processes, stage inspections, and quality KPIs.
• Lead resolution of vendor NCRs, RCA, and CAPA.
• Support sourcing and procurement teams in vendor technical and quality evaluations.

Project Quality Assurance

• Review and approve QAP, ITP, inspection checklists, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
• Ensure quality readiness before dispatch, installation, and commissioning.
• Maintain traceability and documentation for project handover and client audits.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and client QA requirements.
• Lead internal and external audits related to quality and vendor management.
• Identify quality risks and implement preventive controls.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across vendors and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable / Industrial preferred).
• Certification in Quality Management / Auditing is an advantage.

Experience

• 815+ years in Quality Assurance within Solar, Wind, BESS, EPC, or Manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on experience with TV inspections and certifications.
• Proven track record in vendor audits, FAT/SAT, and factory inspections.
