Quality Assurance Manager

Role Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager who will lead and strengthen our Quality Management System (QMS) across the manufacturing facility. This role will hold authority over batch release, documentation control, audit readiness, deviations, change control, and overall GMP compliance. This is a factory-based leadership role with requirement of being full-time, on-site located in the Greater Bengaluru Area.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Systems & Documentation

• Review, approve, control and distribute SOPs across all departments
• Oversee Master Product Documents (MPD), BMR/BPR, specifications
• Ensure documentation control, data integrity and record retention
• Implement and monitor GMP & GLP compliance across production, packing, warehouse and lab

2. Batch Release & Product Authorization

• Review QC reports and authorize final batch release
• Approve/reject RM/PM/SFG/FG based on specifications
• Ensure retention sample and stability study management

3. Audit & Compliance Management

• Plan and conduct internal audits and self-inspections
• Coordinate and handle external client/regulatory audits
• Drive CAPA implementation and closure
• Ensure compliance with GMP, BIS, Drugs & Cosmetics guidelines (as applicable)

4. Deviations, Incidents & Change Control

• Investigate deviations, non-conformances and complaints
• Perform root cause analysis and implement CAPA
• Review and approve change controls
• Maintain complaint handling and trend analysis systems

5. Vendor & Material Quality

• Oversee vendor evaluation and RM/PM quality compliance
• Coordinate supplier complaint handling and quality improvements

6. Team Leadership & Training

• Lead QA/QC team members including chemists and lab staff
• Identify training needs and conduct GMP/GLP trainings
• Build strong quality discipline across the plant

Qualifications

• B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry / Microbiology) OR B.Pharm / M.Pharm OR B.Tech / M.Tech (Chemical / Cosmetic / Biotechnology)
• 510 years experience in QA within Cosmetics / Personal Care / FMCG manufacturing
• Minimum 23 years in a managerial QA role
• Strong knowledge of GMP, documentation control, batch release, deviation & CAPA management
• Experience handling internal/external audits and regulatory compliance
