Quality Assurance Lead

Role: QA Lead

Location: Pune (Bavdhan)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Lead QA to drive quality assurance activities across web, mobile, API, and backend systems. The ideal candidate will lead QA strategy, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality deliverables through effective test planning, automation, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end QA strategy, planning, and execution

Define test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for web, API, and backend applications

Review and approve test deliverables (test cases, automation scripts, reports)

Drive test automation strategy for UI and API

Perform and guide API testing (REST, Postman, Swagger, REST Assured)

Oversee web/mobile automation testing (Selenium / Playwright / Cypress) on cloud like browserstack/lambda test .

Ensure defect tracking, triage, and root cause analysis

Coordinate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams

Validate non-functional testing (performance, security, reliability)

Ensure quality in CI/CD pipelines

Monitor test metrics and KPIs

Mentor and guide QA team members

Participate in release sign-offs

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of QA processes & methodologies

Excellent hands-on experience in Java/Python/Javascript

Expertise in Web Automation (Selenium / Playwright / Cypress) amd Mobile( Appium)

Strong experience in API Testing (Postman, REST Assured, Swagger)

Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber)

Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL)

Experience in performance testing (JMeter / Gatling good to have)

Understanding of security testing basics (OWASP)

Strong team leadership and mentoring skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Ability to drive quality ownership across teams

Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments

Proactive problem-solving mindset

Nice to Have(optional)

Experience in microservices architecture

Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes

Exposure to cross-zone load balancing & cloud networking

ISTQB or equivalent certification
