Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview:

We are hiring a QA Engineer with 2+ years of experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing fundamentals and hands-on experience with Playwright for automation. You will be responsible for designing test cases, executing functional and regression testing, building automated test suites, and ensuring quality throughout the SDLC. This role requires a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, and QA best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Manual Testing

• Write, review, and execute detailed test cases based on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and compatibility testing.
• Validate cross-browser and cross-device performance.
• Ensure complete test coverage through well-structured test scenarios and edge case validation.
• Participate in requirement analysis and identify test scenarios during early SDLC stages.

Automation Testing (Playwright Focus)

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Build and maintain regression automation suites for web applications.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify high-priority test cases for automation to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Continuously enhance automation frameworks for scalability and maintainability.

Web & Mobile QA

• Test web applications for functionality, responsiveness, and consistency.
• Validate mobile applications (iOS/Android) for usability and performance.
• Ensure smooth cross-platform user experience.

API & Backend Testing

• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Validate request/response structures and error handling.
• Conduct database validation (MongoDB, SQL) to ensure data integrity.

Bug Tracking & Process

• Log, prioritize, and track defects using ClickUp or similar tools.
• Clearly document reproduction steps, severity, and impact.
• Work closely with developers to verify bug fixes and retest issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Ensure QA activities align with sprint timelines and release schedules.

Requirements:

Must Have

• 2+ years of experience in QA (manual + automation testing).
• Strong expertise in manual testing and test case design.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright (automation testing).
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of regression, integration, and system testing.
• Experience in API testing using Postman.
• Ability to identify edge cases and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating Playwright automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mobile testing experience.
• Knowledge of performance or security testing.
