Who we are looking for:

GlobalLink QA provides professional quality verification & assurance to applications in State Street asset services.  This role provides an opportunity to lead QA team one of the GlobalLink suite of applications.  The incumbent will be responsible to manage the QA team offshore and timely deliverables.  Also, hands-on functional and automation testing while guiding the team, which including Functional testing, ROI evaluation, automation framework & scripts development, and continuous integration etc. The role is based in Hyderabad, India.

As Lead Quality Assurance Engineer - you will:

  • Primarily lead QA team located across in India while collaborating with teams located geographically which includes QA/Dev/Support.
  • Conduct/manage scrums to prioritize QA release items.
  • Advocate team on QA process and improvements wherever possible.
  • Adapt to the GL/GTM culture quickly and adhere to QA documentation required to maintain the test artefacts for regulatory and audit purposes.
  • Plan and prioritize upcoming/parallel releases and work life balance of team carried throughout the releases.
  • Support the release weekends and BCP/DR to provide and build the confidence among stake holders.
  • Strategy in planning to pipeline tasks and improve regression performance by reducing execution time.
  • Defining, analyzing and documenting project requirements.
  • Work closely with all stake holders to identify best practices to deliver efficient test artefacts.
  • Foresee the risks involved and pro-actively communicate and present the case in scrums and open forums.
  • Writing, reviewing and implementing test cases for automation.
  • Performing integration, functional, regression and E2E testing.
  • Participating in automation design and review and outstanding issue resolve.
  • Provide crisp & clear analysis of issues found during testing with all the RCA (Root Cause Analys) doing defect triage to help fix the issues quickly.
  • Identify key areas and create back-up model ready in uneventful situations.
  • Work closely with automation team to prioritize the regression items that reduces the manual effort.
  • Follow the automation trends to implement and improve QA efficiency and process in both functional and automation.
  • Provide guidance to performance QA to bring out the best analytical data during releases which helps to compare the application performance over the real time scenarios. 
  • Mentor and upskill the team members through planning their career development.

Core/Must have skills:

  • minimum 14-17 years of experience software IT industry with hands-on QA & QA Automation..
  • Must have minimum 5 years’ experience in leading team(s)
  • Attitude to contribute(hands-on) and lead with strong people management.
  • Primarily adaptable and agile to any SDLC conditions and zeal to contribute in any given task.
  • Possess strong QA fundamentals and process oriented which can support regulatory and audit documentation.
  • Possess strong automation Selenium/Java skills and other industry trending tool set and technologies including Protractor/PlayWright/WebDriver and JavaScript/Python etc.
  • Load/Performance testing using JMeter.
  • API testing both functional and automation.
  • CI/CD integration with Jenkins on AWS
  • Using SDLC and Test management tools like Jira, qTest.
  • Strong and pro-active communication and quick learning ability with little or zero handholding.
  • Demonstrable and current hands-on experience using databases (Oracle, SQL) smartly to achieve the QA validations in quick time.
  • Decent knowledge in UNIX finding RCA of issues through logs and events correlation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and trouble-shooting skills. Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the project team.

Good to have skills:

  • Preferably within BFSI domain with FX trade settlements knowledge
  • SWIFT protocol
  • AI/ML tools usage and integration with automation tool set.
