The team:
The External Payments offline team onboards third party merchants to enable customers to pay with "Amazon Pay" on their website or physical stores.
We are building a best in class and frictionless payments solution and merchant experience which will help us exponentially scale while retaining our customers/merchants trust.
We are looking for talented, detail oriented and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) to join the team who can own the project end to end testing process.
Responsibilities include defining test design and test plans and reviewing them with stakeholders.
Continuously improving test coverage, reviewing and filling gaps in existing automation.
Representing the customer, understanding how they use the system and including the most relevant end to end user scenarios in test plans and automation.
Scripting and coding knowledge is required.
Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and work in a highly collaborative environment that’s more startup in nature.
Experience with web
- based applications and/or web services
- based applications is also helpful.
Key job responsibilities
• You create and execute test plans with high quality test cases for straightforward scenarios involving one or more product components and features.
You clearly document your work.
• You perform initial defect triage and root cause analysis.
You correctly log defects and provide relevant data to partner teams so they can address issues.
• You are able to analyse test change requests (e.g., addition, removal, or modification to existing features etc.) and provide recommendations on how the change might impact test scope and/or product behaviour.
• You have some experience with the STLC and a basic knowledge in test methodologies, You are skilled in four core software
- testing techniques: (1) equivalence class partitioning, (2) boundary value testing, (3) verifying each requirement and (4) state transition
• You have basic knowledge in a scripting language.
You use this knowledge to debug, troubleshoot, create and maintain test automation scripts.
You create simple tools to reduce manual effort or more accurately audit component or improve feature quality.
• You are able to train new team members on team procedures
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills with the ability to come up with creative solutions to hard
- to
- solve problems.
- Proven experience defining and pioneering an effective quality assurance process and driving QA initiatives.
- Experience with testing high scale high availability web services.
- Experience with Selenium or other Web UI automation frameworks
- Experience testing applications for mobile platforms (iOS, Android)
