Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Onni Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our Enterprise Systems software development team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, stable, and reliable software solutions used across our North American real estate development, construction, and property management operations.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in test automation, CI/CD integration, and modern QA methodologies. You will collaborate closely with developers, QA analysts, business analysts, and systems leadership across Canada and India to maintain robust automated test suites, streamline deployment processes, and improve overall product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation

• Design, script, and maintain automated regression test suites for enterprise and web applications using Selenium .
• Build and maintain data-driven test frameworks supporting multiple environments.
• Integrate automated test scripts into the CI/CD pipeline .
• Execute automated test runs, analyze results, and partner with developers to resolve defects and system instability.

Continuous Testing & Deployment Support

• Work with developers to automate build, deployment, and testing workflows.
• Support configuration and version control for QA and test environments.
• Participate in smoke and sanity testing for releases and deployments.
• Recommend improvements that increase deployment automation efficiency and testing reliability.

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

• Work closely with QA analysts, business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical risk areas.
• Participate in sprint planning, defect triage, and review meetings.
• Produce thorough test documentation, reporting, and analysis.

Process & Continuous Improvement

• Recommend and implement enhancements to QA automation frameworks and tooling.
• Help establish and enforce automation coding standards and documentation best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in QA automation or software development with a focus on automated testing.
• Strong proficiency in C# with ability to expand and maintain existing automation code.
• Additional experience using Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium , Postman , UI and API test automation.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript , and REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data validation best practices.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines .
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and SDLC best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
