Job Description Senior Automation Engineer (8+ Years)

Role Overview

We are seeking highly skilled Senior Java Automation Engineers with strong expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs), Inheritance, Collections , and Automation Testing . The ideal candidate must have mandatory hands-on experience with REST Assured for API automation. Candidates without REST Assured experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java .
• Implement and optimize test automation for RESTful APIs using REST Assured .
• Work extensively with OOPs concepts, Inheritance, and Collections to build scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Perform test planning, scripting, execution, and reporting for automation projects.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in automation testing.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional experience in software development and automation testing.
• Strong command of Java programming language with deep knowledge of:
• OOPs principles
• Inheritance
• Collections Framework
• Proven expertise in Automation Testing frameworks and tools.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with REST Assured for API testing.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automation scripts.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) .
• Familiarity with Maven/Gradle build tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Selenium WebDriver or other UI automation tools.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, JBehave) .
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms .
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for test environments.
