Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and technically sound Automation Test Engineer

to take full ownership of automated testing architecture and execution for complex and

distributed systems. The ideal candidate will be expected to drive end-to-end automation

strategy, work in CI/CD environments, and lead automation efforts across UI, API, and

performance testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect, design, and implement robust and scalable automated test frameworks from

scratch (UI, API, DB, Performance).

Develop and maintain complex test suites using tools such as Selenium WebDriver,

Cypress, Playwright, Appium, REST-assured, or similar.

Own the entire testing lifecycle from writing test strategy and cases to defect tracking

and reporting.

Integrate automated testing with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab

CI/CD, or similar tools.

Conduct in-depth analysis of system architecture to identify areas for test automation

and risk-based testing.

Perform root cause analysis of test failures and coordinate with developers for quick

resolutions.

Implement advanced test reporting and dashboarding (e.g., Allure Reports, Extent

Reports).

Mentor junior QA engineers and lead code reviews of test scripts and frameworks.

Ensure test data strategy, mocking, and environment readiness across test cycles.

Required Technical Skills:

2+ years of strong hands-on experience in automation using PHP/JavaScript.

In-depth knowledge of UI automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).

Expertise in API test automation using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or Karate.

Solid understanding of BDD frameworks like Cucumber, SpecFlow, or Behave.

Strong command of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).

Good working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and test execution in containerized

environments.

Experience with cloud-based test labs (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

Exposure to database testing, SQL queries, and data validation techniques.

Hands-on with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

Preferred Qualifications:

ISTQB Certification or equivalent.

Experience with service virtualization and mocking frameworks.

Exposure to testing of microservices architecture.

Knowledge of Security Testing fundamentals (e.g., OWASP Top 10).

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Leadership qualities to drive QA initiatives and best practices.
