Required Skills

Hands-on experience in testing network switching products

Deep knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3 networking protocols

• VLAN, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Link Aggregation
• DHCP, IGMP Snooping/Querier
• QoS, ACL, Redundancy protocols (MRP, VRRP, HSR/PRP ideal)

Expertise in:

• Traffic generators (IXIA, Spirent, TRex)
• Python based Test Automation
• Packet sniffers (Wireshark, Scapy)
• Performance, scale, soak, robustness, and stress testing

Strong debugging skills in embedded Linux environments

Hands-on with rugged/industrial networking devices a huge plus

Good-to-Have :

Experience testing Belden, Hirschmann, Siemens, Cisco IE, Moxa, or comparable industrial switches

Familiarity with TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking)

Experience with Industrial Ethernet standards (IEC 61850, EN50155 preferred)

Testing knowledge of ETB (Ethernet Train Backbone network) and Ethernet/IP, PROFINET

SCADA/IIoT networking experience

Knowledge of network cybersecurity testing (IEC 62443)

Certification(s): CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA/JNCIS
