Quality Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sr. Quality Analyst (QA) to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. The QA will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse software requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases and test scenarios
• Perform manual and/or automated testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect tracking tools
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Validate fixes and perform re-testing to ensure defect resolution
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings (Agile/Scrum environments)
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, processes, and best practices
• Prepare test reports and provide regular updates on testing progress and quality metrics

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Quality Analyst or Software Tester
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Experience with test case design techniques and defect management
• Knowledge of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit)
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured
• Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
