The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L3) is a seasoned engineering role, responsible for providing a service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems.

Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role will maintain a high level of service to clients.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions. The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L3) is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems.

This position uses considerable judgment and independent analysis within defined policies and practices and applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions.

The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L3) focusses across two or more technology domains such as (but not limited to) Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications and / or Collaboration and may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

What you'll be doing

Role Description:

                Data & Analytics (D&A) – Business Intelligence (BI) support and development engineer

                Australian customer facing role providing technical expertise to manage and enhancet a Business Intelligence system and reporting based on QlikView and Nprinting.

                Role is both (primary) support and (secondary) development

Working with a hybrid onshore (Australia) and offshore (India) dedicated team managing a major automotive client

Working hours are Australian business hours – some minor flexibility is possible.

The successful candidate will:

·       Actively participate in team meetings internally and client facing

·       Triage, respond and resolve client reported incidents and service requests in the core technologies

·       Manage incidents and service requests to meet SLAs based on response and resolution time

·       Quote (effort and duration only) development / enhancement work for reports and interfaces to the Australian based Service Delivery Manager

·       Deliver development / enhancement projects to meet approved quoted effort and duration

·       Identify areas for continuous improvement for the environment and engagement – contributing ideas and executing on them reporting to the Service Delivery Manager

Over an assumed 12-18 month period the candidate will be expected to take on additional technical skills focusing on Microsoft BI / Fabric / DataBricks etc

·       This additional scope is envisioned as grow into capability – to extend their domain and assist the broader team delivery

 

 

MUST HAVE (Candidates without these skills will NOT be considered:

Experience

                Minimum 4 years technical hands on experience in defined technologies

                Proven support experience (2+ years)

                Proven development experience (2+ years)

Technical skills:

QlikView – strong hands on experience supporting and developing QlikView solutions.

Preference for version 8.3 but any related version will be considered

Nprinting – strong hands on experience supporting and developing NPrinting solutions

Preference for version 16.4 but any related version will be considered

                Non Technical / Soft Skills:

                                Excellent spoken and written English (client facing)

                                Proven experience working with an Onshore/Offshore model

                                Ability to manage workload and provide status reports

                                Ability to report and meet service levels

                                Ability to identify efficiencies and improvements – both technically and functionally

                                Proven ability to adapt to changing technologies

                                Ability to work Australian business hours

 

HIGHLY REGARDED SKILLS (these skills will set candidates apart from other applicants)

                Technical skills

                                Experience with Microsoft technologies including

o   Microsoft BI

o   Microsoft Databricks

o   Microsoft Fabric

o   SAP BI

Certifications with the above Microsoft technologies

Experience transforming QlikView reports to other technology solutions (e.g. Microsoft BI)

                Non Technical / Soft Skills

o   Experience working with automatic industry in an IT capacity

o   Experience working with an Australian client in an IT capacity

o   Proven stability in previous employment (e.g. multiple years with the one employer)

o   Practical experience with ITIL and ITIL related tools (ServiceNow)

o   Experience transitioning work from onshore to offshore
