About the Role:
- Quality Assurance & Control Implementation:
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for all civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
- Ensure that construction and installation activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Inspection & Testing:
- Conduct and document inspections for incoming materials, site workmanship, equipment installation, and structural elements (e.g., MMS, foundations, cable trenching).
- Supervise third-party and in-house testing for concrete, steel, welds, earthing, and electrical continuity.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed quality records, checklists, and test reports.
- Prepare and submit quality-related reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans (CAPA).
- Vendor and Subcontractor Quality Monitoring:
- Review and approve material test certificates (MTC), fabrication quality reports, and welding logs.
- Audit subcontractor work and ensure their adherence to quality standards.
- Coordination:
- Liaise with site engineers, construction teams, and client representatives for inspections and approvals.
- Support handover and commissioning processes through proper documentation and final inspections.
- Compliance and Audits:
- Conduct internal quality audits and assist in external audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.) and project-specific quality requirements.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical)
- Prior experience in QA/QC roles, with at least 2 years in solar power plant or renewable energy projects
- Strong understanding of construction quality standards, inspection procedures, and testing protocols
- Familiar with solar PV system components, including MMS, inverters, cables, and earthing systems
- Proficient in preparing QA/QC documentation, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans (CAPA)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other quality management systems
- Ability to conduct internal audits, vendor quality monitoring, and subcontractor assessments
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication
- Strong reporting and documentation skills for quality records and test reports
