QA Manual Engineer

Role Description

• Analyze business and functional requirements to create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Perform manual testing of web, mobile, and API applications.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using defect management tools.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Validate UI/UX functionality and cross-browser compatibility.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to resolve defects.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and daily stand-ups (Agile/Scrum).
• Ensure test coverage and maintain proper QA documentation.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman.
• Perform basic database validation using SQL queries.

Qualifications

• 24 years of experience in Manual Testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Hands-on experience in writing detailed test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Good knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Understanding of Agile methodology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience in testing mobile applications (Android/iOS).
• Knowledge of automation basics (Selenium/Cypress) is a plus.
• Experience working in product-based or startup environments.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
