Designation: QA Lead

Office Location: Thube Park Pune

Position description: As a QA Lead with a strong customer and quality focus, you would take up end-to-end ownership of the designated projects/products and help ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for Test Plans, accurate estimations, test schedules, development and execution of test cases, optimizing test execution, building efficiencies in the overall testing processes that ensure quality throughout the release schedule. You will document Test Plans, review test scenarios/test cases and communicate test results in the form of a Test Report. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops a strong functional and architectural/internal understanding of the product/system under test.
• Identifies use cases, scenarios & test beds representative of end users environment & convert them to prioritized and effective test cases.
• Reports early defects supported with all required information in the “first go” & Triage and track reported defects to closure.
• Guides and mentors the team members to enable effective & timely execution of the tasks.
• Tracks Quality goals and works towards identification and mitigation of risks.
• End-to-end ownership of test planning, test coverage and tracking the milestones.
• Incorporates industry best practices for augmenting the spread & depth of the tests.
• Liases across teams for cross-functional collaboration to adapt the relevant tools and techniques.
• Invests in upskilling of self and team members for current & upcoming tasks & projects.
• Applies analytical skills to identify and debug the root cause of issues.

Additional Responsibilities:

• QA Lead position requires proven skill in testing and test methodologies; along with supervision and tracking capabilities.

Required Competencies:

• Bachelors degree in IT/ Computer Science.

Required Knowledge:

• 8-10 Years of experience in hands-on testing with enterprise products.
• Strong analytical, testing & technical skills.
• Experience in using various tools and technologies for optimizing test activities.
• Possesses good working knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows/Linux/Mac), Networking/Cloud.
• Excellent knowledge of Test planning, test coverage and tracking of deliverables.
• Experience in leading a team of 4 to 8 engineers and mentoring them for building efficiencies in their tasks.
• Excellent Communication skills exhibiting effective collaboration with cross functional teams.
• Tracks Quality goals and works towards identification and mitigation of risks.
• Demonstrated initiatives for incorporating industry best practices & implementing in the project.
• Team player - experienced in keeping the members engaged and motivated.

Required Skills:

• Testing Skills: "Test-to-fail" Mindset, Test Planning, Test Design, Test case Prioritization, Defect Reporting, Troubleshooting/Debugging.
• Functional Testing: System / Integration/Regression / Usability/UI / Web Database / Localization Testing, Exploratory Testing Non- Functional Testing: Security Testing / Performance Testing / Reliability Testing / Interop/Compatility Testing.
• Operating System: Windows/Linux/Mac/Mobile OS
• Tools: Sysinternal Tools, Debuggers, Appium, Wireshark, OS monitoring tools
• Automation: Scripting/Python/Java/Selenium/GoLang / Powershell, Jenkins, SVN/CI-CD

Required abilities:
