Functional Test Engineer 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 3.5 –8 years of hands-on experience in backend functional testing.
• API Testing: Proficiency in testing RESTful APIs using Postman or Rest Assured.
• Database Testing: Strong understanding of databases and ability to write and execute SQL queries.
• Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and scenario-based testing approach to identify root causes and potential risks.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative and proactive attitude.
• Tools: Experience with JIRA, Postman, SQL, or other relevant testing and defect-tracking tools.
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end  functional testing, ensuring system accuracy, reliability, and performance.
• Design and execute scenario-based test cases to uncover potential issues and ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
• Validate data and business logic through SQL and database testing.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or similar tools.
• Participate in testing of cloud-based applications, ensuring scalability and seamless integration across environments.
