Designation: QA Engineer II - Automation

Office Location: Solitaire BH 8th Floor Pune

Position description:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop a functional understanding of the product/system under test.
• Develop or enhance Automation Framework. Follow good engineering practices to build reliable automation.
• Identifies use cases/scenarios and converts them to prioritized and effective test cases.
• Automate the identified test scenarios to expedite execution of acceptance and functional tests.
• Execute automated tests within the stipulated time to meet the overall quality and project objectives.
• Apply analytical skills to identify and debug issues encountered as part of automation solution.
• Communicates test results to identify risks, dependencies and escalate the same in timely manner.

Educational qualifications preferred

• Category: Bachelor's Degree
  
• Field specialization: Computer Science, Information Technology

Core Competencies

Testing Skills : "Test-to-fail" Mindset, Test Planning, Test Design, Test case Prioritization, Defect Reporting, Troubleshooting/Debugging.

Automation Skills: Scripting/Python/Java/Selenium/GoLang/PowerShell, Jenkins, SVN/CI-CD/

Operating System : Windows/Linux/Mac/Mobile OS

Web/Cloud/Network/APIs: Technical understanding of various technologies and stacks, along with associated benefits/limitations

Required Skills:

• 0-4 Years of relevant hands-on experience in Automation with retail/enterprise products.
•       Excellent programming skills: ability to design, implement, triage/debug and analyze algorithms, and write maintainable and modular code.
•          Experience in developing, maintaining and enhancing high quality, and reliable test automation, good engineering practices while designing and developing automation code, experience in Continuous Integration.
•         Experience in designing or contributing towards Automation frameworks [generic test automation frameworks -data-driven, key-word driven or hybrid framework].
•       Well versed with Operating Systems and its interdependencies when working on Automation.
•       Good analytical and program solving skills, excellent written and oral communication, self-starter and motivated.
