QA Engineer – Group CTO

Your role

We are looking for a mid-level QA Engineer to:
• Test code that underpins the UBS Data Mesh
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability and compliance of our solutions by applying our QA procedures
• Work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, assist in hiring talented data engineers and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities
• Become an SME in the product and help other teams with using the product

Your team

You'll be working within the Group Chief Technology Organization, focusing on QA of the enterprise data mesh, closely interacting with data owners across the bank. You will be joining a team that are helping to scale, build and leverage data products in the firm. The team partners with different divisions and functions across the Bank to develop innovative digital solutions and expand our technical expertise into new areas. You will be joining a growing team and you will have the opportunity to further shape and establish its footprint in the organization.

Your expertise

• thorough knowledge and hands-on expertise in UI, API and database testing, the methodologies and techniques.
• study the story and come up with test cases - discussing with the QA lead (DI)
• ability to go thru the logs and identify issues
• do quick desk checks on developers DCD and give quick feedback
• create and maintain usecase/ user journey level functional test cases
• create and maintain regression test cases.
• automation: Knowledge of test automation frameworks - UI and APIs
• automation: Ability to write automation test suites
• automation: Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines

QA/Technology Requirements
• functional test case creation and execution for API and UI
• knowledge of testing tools – JMeter, Selenium,
• understanding of performance testing principles
• nice to have:
•Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
•Data mesh principles and technologies
•Working knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu
