QA Engineer 3

Key Responsibilities:

Common Accountabilities:

• Technical/Functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of technical and functional aspects of the QA discipline.
• Moderate Guidance: Expected to work under moderate direction, demonstrating initiative and self-direction while receiving support when needed.

Test Strategy:

• Define comprehensive Test Strategy and Plan covering functional and non-functional tests.
• Ensure test strategy aligns with CI/CD guidelines, Green IT guidelines, and industry standards (ISTQB, SDL, STDL).
• Ensure test cases are traceable to specifications and customer requirements.

Test Expertise:

• Design test cases, write test scripts, prepare test data, and execute test scenarios.
• Provide go/no-go decisions on tested features based on exit criteria.
• Evaluate and update regression test suites and CI/CD pipelines based on new features and test stability metrics.
• Investigate Problem Tracking Records (PTRs), test fixes, and update test suites accordingly.

Test Automation:

• Assess which test scripts should be automated to optimize test execution.
• Utilize and contribute to the Test Automation Framework to improve automation efficiency.

Defect Management:

• Report software and documentation defects, assign severity levels, and provide details for resolution.
• Verify defect fixes and validate production readiness.

Reporting:

• Regularly report on test activities and status to stakeholders.
• Provide visibility into testing milestones, progress, and key testing metrics.

Quality Assurance Ambassador:

• Take ownership of product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Promote best practices in test automation and quality assurance.

Technicity:

• Utilize QA tools and frameworks effectively and propose improvements.
• Contribute to the development of new tools and automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
• Required Skills & Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in test automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Robot Framework with Java/Python.\
  • Hands on Experience in developing automation frameworks from scratch and designing robust test strategies.
  • Strong expertise in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Python Requests.
  • Hands-on experience in CI/CD integration of test automation using Jenkins, Octane, and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong knowledge of Data-Driven, BDD, and Hybrid automation frameworks.
  • Experience with test tools like Jenkins, Octane, and VSCode.
  • Ability to monitor automated test executions, debug failures, and optimize test stability.
  • Strong manual testing skills where automation is not feasible.
  • Experience in defect management, tracking issues, and collaborating with developers for resolution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience in mentoring QA engineers and fostering an automation-first mindset.
