We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Python, Django, system architecture, database design, ETL pipelines , and strong data engineering skills . This is a hands-on role requiring ownership, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced product engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build scalable backend services using Python, Django, and DRF.
• Own system design, architecture, and key technical decisions.
• Design relational databases and create optimized schemas.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, data transformations, and complex data workflows (experience with any ETL orchestration framework; Airflow preferred ).
• Use Airflow or similar tools for orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Deploy and manage backend services on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS preferred).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews.

Must-Have Skills

• 710 years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Django, and REST APIs.
• Experience with system architecture & database modelling .
• Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines using medallion architecture, orchestration frameworks, and data processing tools (preferably Airflow ).
• Strong data engineering skills data modelling, transformations, pipeline design, and data quality.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployments.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Celery/RQ, Redis, microservices, or advanced data engineering workflows.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• High ownership, reliability, and ability to work independently.
