You will be responsible for verification and development of automated tests for the following components:

Motion modules of Slice IO (a Schneider Electric platform enabling real-time industrial data management and optimization).
Edge Compute Node (ECN) of the M580 PLC (very low-level code/Firmware).
NUA module of the M580 PLC.

Responsibilities

Develop and automate tests for industrial solutions.
Write Python scripts to automate tests.
Execute and monitor manual and automated tests to ensure software robustness and quality.
Manage and track issues using JIRA and other tracking tools.
Work closely with R&D teams to optimize testing strategies and coverage.
Analyze test results and write reports on findings and recommendations.
Stay updated on new testing methodologies relevant to industrial environments.

Qualifications

Degree: Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Computing or equivalent.
Experience: Significant experience in software testing and automation within an industrial environment.
Location: Bangalore (No remote).

Required Skills

Strong expertise in testing methodologies, processes, and automation.
Proficiency in Python.
Background in industrial automation (PLC programming and testing of programmable logic controllers).
Knowledge of relevant tools and technologies:
Git for version control.
JIRA for test and issue tracking.
Selenium for UI test automation (if applicable).
C / C++ to understand firmware and interact with embedded systems.
Linux and Raspberry Pi for test execution and embedded development.
FPGA, Docker, and Cybersecurity (a plus).
Familiarity with communication protocols: SERCOS, TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTPS.
