Python Backend Developer – Level II (2–4 Years)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Python Developer Level II to help build and maintain scalable backend services powering modern, AI-enabled applications. The role involves working with Django/FastAPI, designing secure and efficient APIs, managing relational databases, building containerized services, and collaborating with frontend and platform teams to deliver robust, high-performance systems.

• Develop scalable backend systems using Python, Django, and FastAPI
• Design, build, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and backend microservices
• Model and manage data using PostgreSQL/MySQL and ORMs (Django ORM, SQLAlchemy)
• Build containerized applications using Docker; deploy, debug, and optimize on Linux
• Integrate AI/LLM-based features using APIs and model-serving endpoints
• Collaborate with frontend teams using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability best practices
• Ensure security, performance optimization, and compliance across services

• Strong Python fundamentals with 24 years of hands-on experience
• Proficiency in Django and FastAPI
• Strong understanding of REST API development and backend architecture
• Experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs
• Knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows
• Basic familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks

• Asynchronous Python (asyncio, async FastAPI routes)
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event-driven systems
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, or Ansible
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID, RBAC, and security best practices
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
• Background in AI model serving, ETL, or compliance-driven systems

A backend engineer with strong analytical and debugging abilities, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
