Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in UI automation and database testing and hands-on experience in testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate should be capable of designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks while collaborating closely with development and DevOps teams.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, ownership of test automation strategy, and the ability to work in complex enterprise environments involving APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and Big Data systems.

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright (Preferrable) and Selenium.
• Implement UI automation for web applications with high reliability and reusability.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Pytest.
• Perform API automation testing using REST-based frameworks.
• Conduct RDBMS/database testing for data validation and integrity.
• Execute performance testing using JMeter.

CI/CD & DevOps Integration

• Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure continuous testing in build and deployment workflows.
• Monitor test executions and generate detailed reports.

Programming & Framework Development

• Write clean, maintainable automation code using Python (preferred) and/or Java.
• Improve test frameworks for scalability, performance, and stability.
• Apply best practices in coding, version control, and automation design patterns.

Big Data & Cloud Testing

• Validate data pipelines and analytics workflows using Spark, Hadoop, and Hive.
• Perform testing in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Support testing for distributed and high-volume data systems.

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

• Work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in requirement analysis and test planning.
• Identify, track, and resolve defects.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and review automation code.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 2-4 years of experience in Automation Testing.
• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) and/or Java.
• Strong expertise in Selenium (must-have).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Proficiency in Pytest, Maven, Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in REST API automation testing.
• Knowledge of JMeter for performance testing.
• Experience in database testing (SQL, data validation).
• Exposure to Spark, Hadoop, Hive.
• Working knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.
