Job Description: PYP/MYP English Teacher

The Kulish School invites applications from passionate and skilled educators for the role of PYP/ MYP English Teacher. We are looking for someone who can spark a love for literature and language, while developing students' analytical and communication skills through the IB PYP/MYP framework.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver engaging English Language & Literature lessons aligned with MYP objectives.

2. Foster inquiry, critical thinking, and creativity in both written and oral expression.

3. Design assessments and provide meaningful feedback in line with IB criteria. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary and project-based learning. 4. Contribute to the development of the Language and Literature curriculum in alignment with IB PYP/MYP philosophy and school goals.

5. Foster a reading culture across the school by promoting diverse literary texts and organizing book clubs, reading challenges, or author talks for students and staff.

6. Integrate global and intercultural perspectives through literature that reflects varied voices and contexts.

7. Support students in literary and creative expression through writing competitions, student publications, or school magazines.

Qualifications:

1. Masters degree in English, or Literature.

2. Experience with IB PYP/MYP or inquiry-based teaching preferred.

3. Strong command of English and effective classroom facilitation skills.

4. Passion for reading, writing, and global perspectives in education.
