Hiring: Civil Purchase Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Purchase Manager to lead and oversee procurement operations for all ongoing and upcoming projects across locations. The role is based at our Corporate Office in Chennai and requires strong leadership, strategic sourcing capability, and multi-project coordination experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end procurement of civil construction materials across multiple projects
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project budgets and timelines
• Oversee vendor identification, pre-qualification, evaluation, and performance monitoring
• Handle techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations, and finalization of rate contracts
• Manage preparation and issuance of Purchase Orders, Work Orders, and Contract Agreements
• Monitor bulk procurement of key materials (Steel, Cement, RMC, Structural Steel, Finishing Materials, etc.)
• Ensure cost optimization through rate analysis and strategic sourcing
• Coordinate with project teams for material planning, delivery schedules, and consumption tracking
• Monitor dispatch status, logistics, payment follow-ups, and vendor compliance
• Review procurement MIS, budget vs actual reports, and cost variance analysis
• Ensure adherence to corporate procurement policies, audit requirements, and compliance standards
• Lead and mentor procurement team members across projects

Required Profile:

• 1015 years of experience in Civil Procurement within EPC / Construction companies
• Proven experience handling corporate-level procurement for multiple building projects
• Strong exposure to bulk material negotiation and vendor development
• Experience managing large project procurement budgets
• Excellent negotiation, commercial, and contract management skills
• Strong coordination and leadership capabilities

Preferred:

• Experience in large-scale commercial / hospital / industrial projects
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / ERP-based procurement platforms)
• Strong vendor network across South India
