Job Description
A Communications agency is hiring for the profile of Public Relations Manager/ Senior Manager.
Location: Mumbai

Job Role
Client Servicing:
To manage group of clients / major clients proactively, with maturity and confidence.
To be the face of the firm with client(s), media and vendor partners.
To initiate and maintain cordial relationships with the clients and media
To help in strategizing, planning and implementing of activities
To create robust, yet feasible plans and strategies in detail so as to execute them seamlessly.
To take complete ownership of the account and be aware of all the relevant details about the client at all points in time
To review drafts created by juniors of all documents for the client minutes, press releases, plans,
review documents etc. and finalize the same in consultation with your supervisor.
To ensure strict deadline adherence
To be responsible for updating the client on a regular basis, through phone calls, e- mails etc. daily media updates, dossiers etc.
To be well informed at all points in time about the industry that the client operates in and other relevant
information. To positively impact industry by the work done for client.
To brief junior team members on client expectations and developments.
To apprise your supervisor about the client at all points in time
To carry out all the coordination activities considered relevant for the client
Media & Influencer Relations:
To be a representative of the Client and the firm while interacting with media /influencers.
To analyse the changing nature of media and identify opportunities and avenues by closely monitoring developments in traditional and new age media. Be in regular touch with the relevant beat media. Keep a track of media movements
To ensure that the team manages client / sectoral media database creation, updating and maintenance of the relevant media / influencers lists
To be responsible for ensuring optimum presence of the client in the relevant media
To identify media opportunities for the client
To keep track of all relevant media coverage of your client(s)
To undertake regular outreach to media and influencers
To create a positive impression about the firm with media, by professional conduct
Documentation:
To be responsible for the quality of documentation, and ensuring they are completely error free
To review documents and drafts prepared by the juniors.
To have each and every document whetted and approved before sharing the same with any external party such as the media and the client
To ensure that the documents prepared are in the specified format and guidelines laid down by the organization
To maintain and update the information repository on the client including coverage profiles,
backgrounders, etc.
To ensure a strict following of the deadlines specified
Digital & Social Media:
To demonstrate practical and basic understanding of visual communications, social media and the digital landscape and how to incorporate these channels into client programs with digital tools, such as blogs, widgets and mobile applications
To stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, and demonstrates understanding of how they integrate into communications programs
To create/develop digital content & conduct online monitoring
Partnerships:
To identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and events on an on-going basis for your
client/clients
Business Development:
To market the firm's services to Clients.
To network and qualify business leads
To upsell offerings to existing clients
To conduct industry and client research for new business.
To participate in brainstorming and NBD presentation. To master credentials.
To work on project / retainer resource estimation and pricing.
Qualification & Skills:
Fluent in English, excellent command over language, good writing skills
Be self-motivated and have the ability to communicate and write proficiently
Possess excellent skills with Microsoft Office
Creative thinker, good executor, able to operate with independence or with minimum supervision
Is able to deliver commitments within timelines, and in an effective manner
Excellent people skills to be a team player and work well within the team, with your colleagues outside of the team and with the clients and media.
PG in Marketing / Management OR Graduate in Mass Media, Journalism, Management Studies with relevant experience
