Role Overview
The Psychology Research Associate works on the end-to-end development and validation of psychometric and behavioral assessments. The role involves research execution, item development, data handling, and documentation, offering hands-on experience to the complete psychometric lifecycle while building technical depth in applied measurement science. This role is ideal for researchers looking to grow into advanced psychometric, research science, or applied measurement roles.
Requirements
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in research methods, statistics, or assessment development.
- Education: Masters degree in Psychology (I/O, Organizational, Applied preferred).
- Understanding of reliability and validity, item analysis, and factor analysis.
- High proficiency in at least one statistical tool (SPSS / JASP / R / Excel).
- Knowledge of psychometric models including Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Item Response Theory (IRT), as well as construct operationalization, sampling and data cleaning techniques, and technical or research documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret academic research papers.
- Strong documentation and research writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
Research & Literature Review
- Conduct structured Review of Literature (RoL) for assigned constructs, traits, abilities, or domains.
- Summarize theoretical models, existing measurement approaches, and key psychometric findings as assigned.
- Support construct definition by identifying sub-constructs, behavioral indicators, and boundaries.
- Maintain organized research notes and references.
Assessment Development & Item Writing
- Write and refine items for cognitive, personality, and other behavioral assessments.
- Participate in operationalization discussions and map constructs to measurable items
- Review items for conceptual alignment, clarity and simplicity, and suitability of response formats.
- Revise items based on feedback from senior researchers.
Sampling & Data Management
- Coordinate pilot testing and sampling processes with internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle data entry, cleaning, and validation for large datasets.
- Maintain organized data logs, version control for datasets, and sampling and response documentation.
Psychometric Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct basic statistical and psychometric analyses under supervision (item difficulty, discrimination, reliability, validity).
- Use software such as SPSS, JASP, Excel, and R for data analysis.
- Support technical documentation and research summaries.
Documentation & Knowledge Support
- Prepare research summaries, technical notes, and internal documentation templates.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in documentation.
- Support senior researchers in maintaining structured R&D records.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with L&D, Product, and Client teams to support research-related needs.
- Help contextualize research findings for internal stakeholders (non-technical audiences).
- Support testing, translation, or internal review tasks as assigned.
Mode of Work Offline (In Office)
Working Hours 9:00 am 6:00 pm
Working Days Monday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday Off.
