Job Description
Psychologist Neuromodulation & Cognitive Emotional Training
We are looking for a motivated Psychologist to join our in-patient psychiatric rehabilitation team, working with a structured tDCS (transcranial Direct Current Stimulation) and Cognitive Emotional Training (CET) program.
In this role, you will support patients during neuromodulation-assisted sessions, conduct basic psychological assessments, provide psychoeducation, and offer emotional support during treatment. You will work closely with psychiatrists and senior clinicians, following clearly defined clinical protocols.
This is a hands-on, supervised clinical role, well suited for psychologists interested in brain-based and technology-assisted mental health care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Support
- Conduct tDCS-assisted Cognitive Emotional Training (CET) sessions as per established protocols.
- Engage and guide patients during sessions to help them stay focused and comfortable.
- Provide simple psychoeducation to patients (and caregivers when required) about:
A. Their illness and symptoms
B. The purpose of treatment
C. Cognitive and emotional challenges
D. Rehabilitation goals and progress
- Offer basic emotional support, reassurance, and motivation during the inpatient stay.
- Observe and report changes in mood, behavior, engagement, or any discomfort during sessions.
Assessment & Monitoring
- Carry out baseline, mid-treatment, and discharge assessments, including:
A. Symptom rating scales
B. Basic cognitive assessments
C. Emotional regulation and functional measures
D. Score and document assessment results accurately.
- Monitor treatment response and inform the supervising psychiatrist or clinical lead of any concerns.
- Maintain clear and organized clinical notes and session records.
Required Qualifications
M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology (Clinical / Counselling / Applied Psychology)
Required Skills & Competencies
- Basic familiarity with psychological assessments and rating scales
- Comfort working in a structured, protocol-based clinical setting
- Good communication and patient-engagement skills
- Willingness to work with technology-assisted interventions
- Ability to maintain clear clinical documentation
Desirable
- Prior exposure to:
A. In-patient psychiatric settings
B. Neuromodulation techniques (tDCS / rTMS)
C. Cognitive training or rehabilitation programs
- Interest in brain-based interventions and neuroscience-informed care
