About the Team and the Role

The Transformation team at Ather is responsible for building strong digital infrastructure to ensure the work across the organization is run in the most efficient manner. This involves building robust systems and tools that align with business processes while identifying inefficiencies and automation opportunities for implementation.

This role is for a specialist dedicated to the Direct-to-Customer (D2C) space, focusing on enabling, optimizing, and scaling the end-to-end customer payment value chain. You will act as the bridge between business needs and technical execution to ensure seamless financial accounting and reconciliation management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Owners to identify problem statements and design solutions for the end-to-end customer payment value chain.

• Gather business requirements and solve problems through process definitions, digital solutions, and automation or lean-six sigma improvements.

• Develop business cases to justify digitization and prioritize stakeholder asks based on cost-benefit analysis.

• Champion stakeholder requirements with the Information Systems (IS) group to ensure delivery within agreed timelines.

• Drive the implementation of payment systems including postpaid/prepaid options, gateway integrations, and digital wallets.

• Identify technological opportunities to improve efficiency across payment solutions for EV charging, merchandise, and digital subscriptions.

• Translate business problem statements into technically feasible solutions and functional requirements for the tech team.

• Lead early User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and drive adoption through training, awareness, and post-implementation support.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters Degree in a quantitative discipline, e.g. Engineering.

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in payments, digital transformation, or systems development.

• Masters in Business Administration or equivalent from a premier B-school (Desirable).

Must Have Competencies

• Implementation of customer payment systems including postpaid/prepaid models, gateway integrations, and Pre-paid Payment Instruments (PPI).

• Design of cross-platform integrations and payment microservices for D2C products and digital subscriptions.

• Application of financial accounting principles and automated reconciliation management within a digital ecosystem.

• Execution of business process designing using tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and VSDiA.

Good to Have Competencies

• Utilization of ERP/SAP (specifically FICO & MM modules), CRM, and Charging Management Systems.

• Implementation of Corporate Governance structures including Layered Audits and IT General Controls (ITGC).

• Application of Lean Six Sigma and DMADV methodologies for process velocity improvements.

• Management of the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies for iterative solution delivery.
