Job Profile: Proposal Engineer

Experience: 7-11 yrs

Position Overview

This role is responsible for reviewing RFQs for DCS, ECMS, C&I, and Advanced Solutions (KOB3, KOB1), preparing Bills of Materials, configuration diagrams, and technical compliance reports, and ensuring accurate system costing. The position supports technical discussions and negotiations with customers, manages technical expectations, and ensures high-quality, on-time proposal submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare techno-commercial proposals for Ovation DCS, SIS, ECMS, DGC-AVR, and C&I packages
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, SCM, and vendors to meet customer requirements
• Conduct plant walk-downs for retrofit assessment
• Develop cost-effective solutions using available tools and EET costing tool
• Participate in techno-commercial reviews with customers
• Manage LOA, master schedules , and smooth handover to Projects
• Obtain best vendor quotes for non-DCS items
• Ensure proper documentation as per quality procedures
• Support team collaboration and build functional expertise

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 610 years experience in DCS / Power Plant Instrumentation / Proposals
• Knowledge of DCS / SCADA hardware & software
• Project handling and customer interaction experience
• Good communication skills
• Experience in proposals or power plant O&M (added advantage)
