Job Summary

We are seeking a Proposal Engineer / Senior Proposal Engineer for our leading EPC client, responsible for developing accurate and competitive techno-commercial proposals through detailed analysis of RFQs and tender documents, close coordination with internal stakeholders, and seamless handover from proposal to execution.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal & Tender Management

• Analyze RFQs and tender documents to understand client requirements, scope, specifications, and commercial terms.
• Prepare complete techno-commercial proposals in line with tender requirements and timelines.
• Ensure technical compliance by preparing compliance matrices and managing deviations, assumptions, and exclusions.

Technical & Costing

• Possess working knowledge of distillation column systems, chilling systems, and hot water skids .
• Develop accurate cost estimates, BOQs, BOMs, and detailed price breakdowns.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization to enhance proposal competitiveness.

Vendor & Internal Coordination

• Float vendor inquiries and evaluate technical and commercial offers for proposal inputs.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, projects, and technical teams to gather necessary inputs.

Client Interaction & Support

• Handle client interactions, technical clarifications, pre-bid meetings, and negotiation support.
• Identify technical, commercial, and execution risks during the proposal stage.

Documentation & Handover

• Maintain proposal documentation, approvals, version control, and quality compliance.
• Support smooth handover from proposal stage to execution teams and provide post-order assistance.

Continuous Improvement

• Update cost databases and proposal templates.
• Analyze lost bids and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Turnkey Solutions companies or Equipment Manufacturing organizations will be an added advantage.
