Project Specialist

We are looking for a high-ownership PMO Logistics Automation & AI Safety to lead end-to-end delivery of automation and AI-driven safety solutions across plants, warehouses, ports, and moving fleets.

This role owns POC execution, close monitoring, client communication, and implementation governance for solutions including:

• Plant & logistics process automation (Gate, Weighbridge, Loading/Unloading, QC, Gate-out, ePOD)
• AI Vision & CCTV systems (fixed and mobile)
• Video telematics in moving vehicles
• ADAS & DMS (AI-based driver safety)

The PMO acts as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the client during POCs and implementations and ensures that value is demonstrated through active monitoring and measurable outcomes, not just deployment.

Key Responsibilities

1. POC Ownership & Close Monitoring (Critical)

• Co-own POCs along with Presales, from initiation to closure
• Actively monitor POCs on a daily/weekly basis, including:
• System health (devices, cameras, connectivity)
• Data quality and AI accuracy
• Process adherence and behavioural impact
• Ensure tuning, issue resolution, and optimisation during the POC period
• Maintain monitoring logs, tuning history, and performance summaries
• Ensure no POC is treated as install and wait

2. Client Communication & Governance

• Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all client communication during POCs and implementations
• Run structured client calls, reviews, and milestone meetings
• Translate technical execution into operational and business language
• Manage expectations, drive decisions, and secure sign-offs
• Handle escalations calmly and professionally

3. Project Delivery & Execution

• Own end-to-end project delivery from handover to go-live and stabilisation
• Create and manage project plans, milestones, and dependencies
• Track progress across hardware, software, AI, and field teams
• Identify risks early and enforce mitigation plans
• Enforce scope control and change management

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with:
• Presales / Solution Architects
• Hardware & IoT engineers
• Field technicians
• Software, AI, and integration teams
• Product and support teams
• Ensure field execution aligns with approved designs and scope
• Prevent ad-hoc or undocumented changes on site or in vehicles

5. Field, Hardware & AI Awareness

• Plan and coordinate on-site and on-vehicle installations
• Ensure readiness of:
• Power, network, and mounting
• Vehicle access and safety approvals
• Validate installation, commissioning, and live data
• Understand AI vision constraints such as lighting, angles, vibration, and environment

6. UAT, Go-Live & Handover

• Plan and execute UAT and pilot runs
• Validate acceptance criteria with the client
• Manage controlled go-live and stabilisation phases
• Drive structured handover to support / CSM teams post go-live

7. Documentation & Control

• Maintain:
• Project plans and trackers
• MOMs and decision logs
• Risk & issue registers
• Change requests
• UAT, POC, and go-live sign-offs
• Ensure projects are audit-ready and well documented

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have

• 510 years of experience in PMO / project delivery roles
• Experience delivering industrial automation, IoT, AI, or logistics technology projects
• Strong understanding of plant operations and/or fleet operations
• Proven experience managing client-facing implementations
• Ability to run projects involving hardware + software + AI
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to push back on scope

Good to Have

• Exposure to:
• Gate automation / weighbridge systems
• CCTV, AI vision, or video analytics
• ADAS / DMS or vehicle telematics
• ERP / WMS / TMS integrations (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, etc.)
• PMP / Prince2 / Agile certification
• Experience working in plants, ports, warehouses, or fleet-heavy environments

Technical Awareness (Expected, Not Hands-On)

• Working understanding of:
• IoT devices, sensors, and cameras
• Network basics (LAN, Wi-Fi, SIMs, firewalls)
• AI vision concepts (accuracy, false positives, tuning)
• APIs and system integrations

Behavioural & Soft Skills

• Strong client-facing communication
• Calm under pressure and on live sites
• Structured, detail-oriented, and disciplined
• Comfortable working with operations, IT, and field teams
• Willingness to travel to plants, yards, and customer locations
